The Autumn of Champions

Scroll this

My mind has always associated October with the beginning of school season, and its infinite opportunities to learn and grow.

Right at the last quarter of the year when people start to slow down, champions- on the other hand, push harder to finish the year on a higher note.

The thing is, when you want to succeed so bad, it’s so easy to get caught up in the chase and lose yourself in the heat of the moment. So you become angry; and you think anger is good, anger makes me work harder. But anger only makes you feel like you are working harder, when in reality, you are just burning out.

The summer heat is now a distant memory and I feel my mind calming down and my soul is no longer burning on fire.

It is not anger that makes a man, it’s the emotional content!

And this is the beauty of October and its fallen leaves; it reminds you of the immutability of change. So if you’re reading this and you are in a bad place, remember that seasons change. Remember that you don’t have to wait until January to start over.

Champions start in October.

Here’s to autumn flings and cinnamon lattes.
